When you jump off the train at the begginning of game to destroy another reactor, go the opposite direction to where instructed, and at the end there will be shinra troops, they have unlimited troops, so keep refusing to go back after each fight, and you will get good exp (for that part of the game) and easy enemies.

Equip the persona you want to use in the battle area with long range materia, and make him/her step back to back row, equip ribbon as your item (so no status will ever effect you), equip 1 or 2 hp+ materias, and make sure to cast haste and regen at beggining of battle. Basically the enemies will be easy to beat, anf you can take your time.

Make sure you have the enemy skill, matra magic from these robots monster from the desert outside the desert prison. Now, cast this a few times and the creatures life will be halved each time, keep doing it until it s anice low health, and cast morph, which will work without fail.

Basically here is the cod eot open the safe. Right 36, Left to 10, right to 59, and right to 97. Once opened you will be attacked by a tought boss. But if you win, you will get the basement key to get a new character vincent, Red XIII's final limit break, and a powerful new summon materia, odin.

After defeating the Materia Kepper boss in the Mountains past Nibleheim, go downward rather than straight past where it was, and follwo the path to find other materia. There is also a door up the ladder before fighting it that will lead you to the reactor, and other materia.

When in mideel, you will notice up by the tallest house, along side it, beneath the floorboards, there is a key, that the party cant quite reach, so they dismiss it. Go to the weapons store, and you will s e a locked door at the back of the store, go up to it, and click on it. Then talk to the owner of the shop. and buy stuff if you like. Go back to where the key was, and they will talk about it again. Now just continue witht he storeyline in this village, while everynow and again going back up to where the key was, and eventually they will get annoyed, and obtain the key. Go back to the weapon shop, and try the door. It will be revealed to be a painted on door, however die to your efforts, the owner of the shop will give you some items as a reward.

When you have to get off the train in midigar because of a lockdown, talk to people as you run from train to train, you will get a couple of hi-potions etc. But you have to be fast otherwise you will be locked in, and have to jump off train early.

In Wutai, once you have your materia back off Yuffie, go to the Shed FULL of cats, and you can climb the file cabinet at the back of room, this takes you into the ceiling, and to a chest with a materia in. (Sorry cant remember what materia is called, but its cool)

Ultima materia is the most powerful non elimental materia in game. When the train is crashing towards North Corel, stop it before the time runs out, and the kid in the town will gie you it, as well as you recieving Barrets final limit techinque. If you do not stop the train in time, you can buy it off the kid for 500000gil.
