Before you get to Cinnibar Island speak to the old man in Viridian City near the next route, after he asks you a question answer 'no', wait for his capture demonstration to end and then head straight to Cinnibar Island. Put the item you want to duplicate on the 6th part of the item list then Surf up and down until you come across a Pokemon, if it's either a Missingno or an M' beat it up and you should get over 100 of the same item.

Go to the man in veridian city and go to him he will ask if you want to know how to catch pokemon. Say no then fly to cinnabar island make sure what you want to be infinity of is in the sixth position then go to the east coast and surf on the edge then a weird pokemon appers it should be called "mississingo". Kill it (its easy) then you will have infinity anything you put in sixth position.
