Effect: Upgrade equipment without sacrificing any minions
When:
When upgrading or forging equipment
How:
Wait until the camera goes above the upgrade area. Before the minions emerge, press start and exit the game. Reload the game and you'll find that no minions have been sacrificed but the game has still upgraded the desired equipment.
