Retro Game Cheats for FIFA 2003 (Gamecube)
Effect: Enables a 1st divison team to be selected to play with in the Premiership.
When:
If you want to play as a 1st divison team in Fifa 2003.
How:
Choose a top premiership team like Arsenal (1 that wont get relegated) and then 'simulate' a full premiership season, at the end of the season 3 Premiership teams will get relegated and 3 new 1st divison teams will be promoted. Hopefully the 1st divison team will be amongst the teams promoted, if not then repeat the season simulation until you team gets promoted (a seasonal simulation lasts only around 5 minutes and if youre a fan of say Leicester or Norwich then this is very worthwhile) I discovered this cheat myself by pure fluke and it works perfectly.

In Team Management between matches.
How:
To update Fifa 2003 in Season Mode, go to Team Management (not during a game), then press X three times to bring up the transfers screen. Here, as long as there are adequate funds, you can sell/buy any player to/from any club. To update the game, bring in players to your squad from their old club then transfer them back out to their current club e.g. if you're playing as Arsenal, and want to move Beckham to Real Madrid, buy him from Man U then sell to Real. This will take a long time but is the only way to update without buying Fifa 2004!

When you get a free-kick about 20-35 yards out when the opposition wall blocks you're direct view at goal
How:
Aim for the far top corner. Then, put a little bit of curl and a little bit of backspin. If you do it correctly, the last defender in the wall will duck, allowing the ball to pass through and into the top corner!

How:
When you are this distance away, only 1, 2 or even 0 players stand in the wall. Don't bother with any ballspin. Just aim the target circle low on goal and somewhere where it won't hit the player(s) in the wall (obviously). If it's a good kick-taker, it will be thumped in hard and the keeper won't stand a chance.
