Enter debug mode. Press R2 during game play to display the debug menu. This displays the map number, Bub's lives, and Bob's lives. Press R1 during game play to hide the debug menu.

Enable the "Debug menu" code. Start game play and display the debug screen. Go to the level 100 map (the screen will display 63). As soon as you reach that level, return to level 1 (the screen will display 0). You will now have a lightning potion throughout the game.
