Defeat a metal slime (having Hero learn Metal Slash will make this easier) will equal over 1000 exp per Metal Slime killed. They only have 4 hit points but are hard to hit and will often run away. A good trick to use is for Jessica to cast accelerate (and then use her twin dragon lash ability) and have Hero use Metal Slash while using the other 2 party members to attack. A little luck is also involved as you have to hope the Metal Slime doesn't run away on the next turn if you don't kill him on the first time
