Get a fast car, such as the escudo of a mitsubishi 3000-gt, max tune it, and buy good tires! now go to one of the endurance races(i'll suggest you take the super speedway) and complete it with a gold "medal", now you will be awarded a relative big amount of money, plus you get to choose from four cars.. take the one that look like a formula one car, it is a monster! the car is called: Pholyphony001, if you play the 2hrs rome circuit race, then you will be awarded the Polyphony002, a turbocharged formula one car, but it does not run that great!

when you make a game file go to the arcade mode, then play one race and then quit. Then you must go to the simulation mode and play the game or buy a car and then save. You will then see that you save slot has you arcade, file and your game file saved using up half the data needed usually.
