Retro Game Cheats for The Sims 3: Pets (PlayStation 3)
Effect: Unlocks Cheat Mode. (Unlimited Money, unlimited Lifetime Happiness Points etc)
When:
During gameplay.
How:
Firstly, press the START button on your controller. Then simultaneously press all four back buttons on your controller (L1, L2, R1, R2). A box will appear and ask if you would like to activate the Cheat Mode, select 'Let The Cheating Begin', if you have decided that you do not want Cheat mode activated, select the other option.
Afterwards, another box will appear, it will ask if you would like to save your game without Cheat mode activated, if you would like to save your game without Cheat mode activated, you need to select 'Yes, Save'. If not, select the other option. Now, when you exit the START menu, another box will appear telling you that the saved game you are currently playing has Cheat mode activated, read through it and when finished, press the X button on your controller, you now have Cheat mode enabled.
Afterwards, another box will appear, it will ask if you would like to save your game without Cheat mode activated, if you would like to save your game without Cheat mode activated, you need to select 'Yes, Save'. If not, select the other option. Now, when you exit the START menu, another box will appear telling you that the saved game you are currently playing has Cheat mode activated, read through it and when finished, press the X button on your controller, you now have Cheat mode enabled.

Afterwards, a box will appear asking if you would like to activate Cheats, select 'Let The Cheating Begin'. If you do not want Cheats activated, select the other option. After you have selected 'Let The Cheating Begin', another box will appear asking if you would like to save your game without Cheats activated, If you would like to save your current game without Cheats enabled, press 'Yes, Save', or if not, select the other option.
Once you have chosen wether you would like to save the game or not, you will be returned back to the START menu, to get the cheats you desire, you need the llama from Build/Buy Mode. To access Build/Buy Mode, simply press the SELECT button on your controller, it is the option that is located next the the Town Map option. You can find the llama in Buy Mode -> Décor -> Miscellaneous, it should be the very first one. Once you have found the llama, press the X button on your controller and select the colour you wish to have, once you have selected the colour, press the X button which will let you 'Plop' the object down on any flat surface. Once you have placed the llama on your lot, press the SELECT button once more to bring up the menu displayed earlier. Select the first option which is the Green PlumbBob (With the written words of 'Live Mode' displayed underneath the Green PlumbBob) and press the X button. Move the cursor over the llama you just placed and press the X button. You will have many Cheats that you can activate, activate the ones you wish to use by pressing the X button.
There is also another set of Cheats that can be used at any time, but only when you are at your own lot. To use these extra Cheats, hover over the Mailbox on your lot and hold down the L2 button and simultaneously press the X button. A number of options appear, these include 'Make Friends For Me', 'Set Career' and 'Reset Sim' (Please Note: There mustn't be any other interactions E.x - A Sim - obstructing the Mailbox to activate these Cheats. Also Note that the 'Make Friends For Me' Cheat does not make every Sim become Friends with the active Sim. Last Note: The 'Set Career' Cheat - On level 10 of any Full-Time Career, or on level 3 of any Part-Time Career, the building you work in will get an upgrade, but if you use the 'Set Career' Cheat on level 10/level 3, the building will not get the upgrade. You must set the career to be at level 9/2 or lower and recieve the next promotion(s) to recieve the building upgrade.)
Once you activate the Cheats, hold down the L2 button over a Sim or your Career building and some more Cheats will become available for use, E.x - Trigger Age Transation (Age Up) (Sims Only) - Or Force Opportunity (Only available when there are no opportunities active) (Career Building Only) - Add To Active Family (This only works for Sims NOT in your current household - But also won't work for Sims in the Carpool for your Career).
