Heavy weapons aren’t always the best. Rapid-fire weapons are better, as they can take out multiple targets, are easier to aim with and have a large ammo capacity.
When fighting an enemy that has hidden behind crates, crouch and fire. This will enable you to destroy the crates and hopefully catch them in the blast.
Secondary fire is usually the best to use during a firefight. But don’t forget about the primary button, as it can produce some good effects (at the expense of extra ammo).
The auto aim will take care of many targets on higher levels. If you just face slightly up, your bullets will almost certainly find the mark.
Don’t forget that you can further increase magnification in aim mode, with the Sniper Rifles, by pushing a on the D-pad.
If there is a large group of enemies ahead of you, try to draw them into narrow ground and shoot them one at a time.
Try to keep the enemy unaware of your approach by using bare hands. A single blow will fell any target and a clean hit will knock the head off a zombie.
Stay on the move at all times. Only stand still and snipe if the enemy is unaware of your approach. They’ll quickly home in and take you down if you stand around like a prize melon.

Some of the undead creatures you face can’t be put down easily. Even after a thousand bullets have been pumped into their lifeless corpse, they’ll come back for more, often blocking your path in the process. To take out a zombie you’ll need to blow their head clean off. To do this easily, make sure you are at the same level as the zombie and have it centred in the screen. Press the aim button to bring up the cross-hairs and they’ll appear right on its face, enabling you to decapitate it. |

It’s good to stand and fight most of the time, but if you’re going for a Time Attack score, or simply want to get past a massive gang of enemies, you’ll need to move fast. Most dudes you face will forget about you when you’ve gone out of sight. Use this to save on ammo and complete the level in super-quick time. With lots of enemies chasing you, they will inevitably get in each other’s way, taking out each other accidentally. |
